When we walked in, the decor took our
breath away. Guests were transported into a fantasy wedding wonderland
that was every bit as tasteful and romantic as the couple.
Peach, cream, silver and gold were the colours of the day and The Wedding Guru
did a fantastic job with the decor. The design company also decorated
the groom’s twin – Peter’s traditional engagement in November last year.
While the traditional rites were being
performed, cameras were excluded from the venue, so we caught celebs and
stunning guests arriving and being interviewed by Hip TV - they broadcast the wedding live online and on DSTV.
Banky W talked about how supportive
P-Square was when he moved back to Nigeria to pursue a singing career,
as well as his favourite P-Square love song – “No One Like You” – where bride Anita starred in the video!
Ice Prince talked about the groom and his brother of P-Square being
mentors for artistes like him from Jos,
Plateau state, where they grew
up.
Anita’s makeup was done by Banke-Meshida Lawal of BM|Pro.
She did an amazing job, but she also had a fantastic canvas to work
with. For the first look, Anita opted for pink ombre lips and eyeshadow
to match her glistening pink and silver wrapper.
The bride wore a jaw-dropping chunky beaded necklace and headpiece which represented her Oguta traditions and culture.
Isn’t she a Beautiful Onyinye?!
“Park, baby o pullover!” Limpopo crooner K-Cee had everyone on their feet.
Lola Okoye – groom Paul’s twin’s wife gave a beautiful speech.
Eloquent First Lady of Cross River state - Obioma Liyel-Imoke also witnessed the cake cutting.
The couple’s cute son Andre. Aww!
It’s Peter! 2nd half of P-Square and the groom’s twin. And his mini-me Cameron.
Peter gave a fun speech about the couple! He mentioned that his son
Cameron’s middle name is also Paul’s middle name – Nonso, yet, when Paul
and Anita had their son Andre, they didn’t name him after him.
So he made the couple promise that their next child’s name would be Peter Peter Okoye after him! lol
The stars really came out in their best to support Anita and Paul.
Julius was on a roll! No one was immune to his rib-cracking jokes.
*Kiss kiss*!
The second outfit in the traditional wedding symbolized the Igbo culture. To celebrate, the bride wore a red ichafu with traditional coral beads flecked with gold, and a gold embroidered blouse & wrapper. Her red heels? To die for!
It’s cool DJ Jimmy Jatt!
The groom’s nephew Cameron was a star on the day with his great dance moves, energy and contagious smile all through the day.
The koko master himself D’Banj performed over 10 songs! He ‘killed it’!
Bracket, Phyno, J.Martins and more hit the stage. At this point it was a party!
Chop my money!
Banky & Muna were definitely feeling the love!
Omoge
Jasi!
For the bride’s third and final look, she wore a shimmery royal blue dress with a feathered tail by Frank Osodi. The fabric was from Yinka Fowora of Foradora Fabrics,
who also provided the wedding’s aso-ebi. She kept the accessories
simple with dangling diamond earrings and her engagement ring.
Anita’s lips were sumptuous in BM|Pro Redd, by the makeup artist’s cosmetic and beauty company – BM|Pro.
Anita and her new sister – Lola. Welcome to the family!
The groom and his twin sang to their wives. How sweet!
BellaNaija Weddings had a fun time with
the couple and we’re so grateful to everyone involved including Bayo
Adetu (PR for P-Square), Banke Meshida-Lawal of BM|Pro and last but
certainly not the least – Tayo & Pascal for AkinTayoTimi.
We’re so happy for Anita & Paul, may their joy be never ending. Amen!
